The George Clinton of Jazz, check out our man Christin aTunde Adjuah who closing the distance between acoustic and electric sounds in jazz, Christian aTunde Adjuah premieres his double quartet and their approach to jazz entitled Stretch Music. Introducing three completely new brass instruments in addition to new hybrids of West African drums including the DjemBass and recreations of instruments such as the Straight Alto Saxophone, Christian aTunde Adjuah and his double quartet stretch jazz’s rhythmic, melodic and harmonic conventions to encompass a multitude of musical forms, languages and cultures with several new compositions.
