September 9, 2017

Deborra-lee Furness, wife of actor Hugh Jackman has paid tribute to her mother, Fay Duncan one of the founders and driving forces behind the Fight Cancer Foundation.

Furness said her mother’s example of being of service to the community was a gift she was determined to pass onto her own children, Ava and Oscar.

“I grew up with that awareness that you had to be of service and my kids know they have to do volunteering,” she said.

“My daughter works up at Harlem Village Academies in New York and plays with kids after school and she loves it and Oscar does community service. They get it and they love being able to help other kids.”
