We all know that being beautiful has become the number one concern of almost every woman around the world. This is because the cosmetics industry has become one of the most powerful industries out there, together with the pharmaceutical industry.
Every magazine and TV show is telling us that we should look a certain way and is filling our head with all sorts of cosmetic products that will make our skin more beautiful, our hair softer and our lips pop out.
But are all these things necessary? The truth is that women can enhance natural beauty without using all these artificial chemicals. It turns out that men actually like women without makeup more than those who have a lot on. Studies suggest that men like women who wear just a little amount of makeup, makeup that is hardly visible.
The purpose of using foundation and concealer is to cover the imperfections of the skin and we wear eye makeup to make our eyes pop out and look healthier. But we can do all that without the use of large amounts of cosmetics and makeup and we are going to tell you how to enhance your beauty the natural way.
What beauty really is
It is essential to understand what makes a woman beautiful. There are some things that are crucial when it comes to being noticed in a crowd: inner peace, hydration, clear skin, even skin tone, great teeth, and healthy hair.
Why inner peace? People around you will observe if you are stressed out because the muscles in your face contract and can make you look stiff. They can see it in your eyes as well. It is important to try to balance your inner struggle.
Meditate, take a long walk, have a nice read in the evening, do anything you need to do to take care of your inner self and, believe us, you will become even more beautiful than you already are.
How to take care of your skin?
Skin is really important when it comes to the way others perceive us. Even if it is said that you have to use a lot of cosmetics to keep it soft and beautiful, you should think about how women looked 500 years ago. They were still beautiful and they were not using any harsh chemicals to be that way.
1. Exfoliating
To keep your skin glowing, you need to exfoliate it regularly. It is a great practice because skin regenerates itself and all of the dead skin present on your body has to be removed one way or another. If you do not exfoliate regularly, your skin will look dull.
A great practice is to soak yourself in the tub for 20 minutes and then use a shower cloth. All the dead skin will soften and it will be easier for you to remove it. Shower cloths are perfect for this, just try to be careful and use a separate one for your face. Do this once a week and your skin will look amazing and have an even color.
2. Sleep and exercise
While you sleep, your brain goes through a purifying process that will clear your mind and make all your organs work properly. Believe it or not, your skin is an organ as well, the largest one in the body. It has a protective role and its upper layer is renewed constantly.
Exercise is great for your skin because it helps the skin receive more oxygen, essential for great-looking skin. It also increases blood flow, which will allow the nutrients from your blood to reach the cells of your skin and make it look better. Through sweat, you will eliminate all the toxins present in your skin, so exercise is definitely essential for perfect skin.
3. Hydration
The best way to hydrate your skin is to drink enough water. If you don’t believe us, look at your lips. Try to drink less water than you normally do for a few days and observe what happens to them. Then, try and increase the amount of water you drink and you will see that your lips will look like the softest on the planet.
The same happens to your skin, but the lips are your first clue that you are not drinking enough water.
4. Nutrition
You can make your skin look good from the inside out by providing the nutrients that are involved in the production of new skin cells that are healthy. Vitamin A, the B vitamins group and vitamin C are essential to have great skin. Vitamin C is really important in the production of collagen, the substance that keeps your skin firm.
Do not get fooled that you can get your collagen from creams and moisturizers. Your body can not metabolize it. Try to eat healthily and everything will come into place. You will look amazing, save a lot of money and, the most important thing, you will have really healthy skin.
