Patch reports that a homeless man who was found dead in East Harlem’s Harlem River Park was murdered, police said.
The NYPD has declared the death of William Wells a homicide after months of investigation, police said. Wells’ body was found when officers arrived at Harlem River Park near East 128th Street and Harlem River Drive on the morning of October 27.
Wells, 46, was unconscious and unresponsive when police found him and was pronounced dead by EMS at the scene, police said.
The NYPD investigation into Wells death is ongoing and no suspects have been identified, police said.
