The Henry Schubert home (looking northwest ) near 125th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, Harlem, New York 1900,
Mr. Henry Schubert, was president of the Harlem and New York Navigation Company, New York.
Schubert’s home surrounded by a white picket fence, was built as a summer villa, is an example of the Palladian country-style of architecture. Some of the features very reminiscent of the legendary Claremont Inn (afew blocks away south at 122nd Street) in the Morningside, Harlem Heights, Manhattanville and westside areas of Harlem.
