Asked why he was in Harlem Mr Carter continued, “Goldwater Hospital, the place where Wheelchair Charities began 41 years ago, has closed its doors. However, many of the people from Goldwater—the patients, residents and staff—have relocated to the new facility in Harlem. We are in Harlem because God sent us to Harlem.”
Located at 1752 Park Avenue and 122nd Street in Harlem, NY, the facility features two separate buildings with a combined 365 beds for two distinct types of healthcare services: long-term acute care and skilled nursing care.
