Harlem’s Max B, French Montana, and the Weeknd have shared their video for a new song. “A Lie” is produced by Harry Fraud, and it appears on French Montana’s new album Jungle Rules. Directed by Spiff TV and French, the clip features French and the Weeknd partying around Harlem, New York. Max B appears through archival footage, Harlem’s A$AP Rokcy and other Harlemites makes a cameo. Watch below. Harlem-raised rapper Max B is still serving out a prison sentence in New Jersey, but last year he had it shortened from 75 years after entering a plea agreement. He was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping, and more in 2009. French has remained close with his frequent collaborator, visiting Max in prison and keeping fans updated about his status on Instagram.
French and the Weeknd previously collaborated on the 2013 track, “Gifted,” off French’s album, Excuse My French. His last album MC4 came out in 2016.
