It was an exciting collection of my new hats during Fashion Week 2016. It was held on Wednesday evening, February 17th 2016, at The XL Lounge in the luxurious “The Out Hotel” in mid-town Manhattan, NY.
It was packed with fashionistas and supporters of this Fashion Showcase for Charity. Three designers of color participated in the showcase. Harlem’s Heaven Hats, Eliz Jewelry, and Chulo Men’s Underwear. It was a fabulous evening of fashion, dance, and spoken word. My hats during this show were truly fantasy pieces, featuring large red silk roses, burgundy feathers, and orange silk butterflies.
The finale was a black angel hat with wings. I wanted to show a broad range of creativity with this collection and I feel it was well received. I want everyone to wear hats this Spring and to join us during Kentucky Derby in Harlem!!
