Harlem’s Errol Louis Moderates Roundtable With The NYC Charter Commission

August 9, 2018

The New York City Charter Commission will meet with community and ethnic media to discuss the work of the Commission in revising the City Charter.

The New York City Charter is like the city’s constitution. Since April, Commission members have been reviewing the Charter and hearing from the public about changes New Yorkers would like to see. Proposals to change the Charter will be finalized by no later than September 7, 2018, and New Yorkers will vote on those proposals November 6, 2018. Between those dates, the Commission will conduct a public education campaign to help New Yorkers understand the proposed changes. At this roundtable, the Charter Commission will provide information about its work and the possible changes to the Charter.

Participating in the roundtable will be the following City Charter Commissioners:

Moderarated by Harlem’s Errol Louis, NY1, Newmark J-School at CUNY
