The event featured a variety of free health screenings as Bowen teamed with Ryan Health, Mt. Sinai, Heritage Health and Argus Community to provide blood pressure, glucose, prostate cancer, HIV and Hep “C”, and COVID testing, along with flu shots and COVID vaccinations.
More than 1,000 attendees interacted with a wide variety of participants – including our proud sponsor Ponce Bank, New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, Ali Forney Center, Harlem Strong, Harlem Hospital, Bleuler Psychotherapy Center, Exponents, FDNY, Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, NYS Department of Health, OnPoint NYC, The Alliance for Rights and Recovery, VNS Select Health, and more – to learn about their programs and services and to obtain referrals.
New York City Councilmember Shaun Abreu appeared during the event to meet with the community and to thank the Bowen Center for continuing to provide the city with comprehensive mental health, addiction treatment and social services.
