Harlem’s Congressman Espaillat Appointed To Serve On The House Foreign Affairs Committee

Today, Congressman Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) released the following statement following his appointment to serve on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs:

“I am honored to have been appointed to serve on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, which considers legislation impacting our diplomatic community that includes the Department of State, the Agency for International Development (USAID), the Peace Corps, the United Nations, and the enforcement of the Arms Export Control Act,”

said Rep. Adriano Espaillat.

“During this difficult time of the threat of war around the world, reports of foreign agency involvement in our democratic processes, and the challenges faced throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, I look forward to working to create effective oversight and legislation that will enhance our nation’s security.”
