Harlem’s Alicia Keys And Others At BET Awards 2016

alicia-keys and bet logoHarlem lady performs Alicia Keys performs with many others, Empire’s Taraji P. Henson and Jussie Smollett are among the newly announced presenters for the 16th annual BET Awards.

Rounding out that lineup includes BET chairman/CEO Debra Lee, Spike Lee, Bobby Brown, Deon Cole (Angie Tribeca), Yara Shahidi (Black-ish), actor Wood Harris and actress/model Karrueche Tran. Previously announced presenters include DJ Khaled, Gabrielle Union, Snoop Dog, Birdman, Jermaine Dupri and actor/director Nate Parker.

Returning as hosts, Black-ish co-stars Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson will welcome other performances in addition to earlier mention Alicia Keys, include Usher, Future, Maxwell and Bryson Tiller. Among the evening’s highlights will be a tribute to Prince, featuring Sheila E., the Roots, D’Angelo and Janelle Monae. Actors Samuel L. Jackson and Jesse Williams will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award and Humanitarian Award, respectively.
