Three years after it was first announced, it looks like Harlem’s 39,000 square foot Whole Foods is well on its way to completion.
When Curbed last reported on the site back in April, the foundation work was firmly in place and the first floor was just being built. Now just over six months later, it seems like the pricey grocery shop is not too long from opening its doors.
Located at 100 West 125th Street, the project broke ground in 2014. Whole is just one of the retailers in the entire building that’s under construction. Wharton Properties obtained the former parking lot early last year for $95 million, according to the Commercial Observer. And Whole Foods will be the anchor tenant at the five-story building, other tenants include the Burlington Coat Factory, Olive Garden, and American Eagle Outfitters.
