On Sunday, June 19th, Harlem United and Harlem Run co-hosted the first Harlem One-Miler Run. The event was held at Marcus Garvey Park to raise funds in support programs and services offered by Harlem United.
The Father’s Day event welcomed a crowd of over 150 from Harlem and the surrounding areas. Participants ranged in age from 5 months to 65. There was something for everyone runners, walkers and everything in between.
After the day’s event, participants met up at an after-party sponsored by The Corner Social for “bits and bites” and drinks. Other event sponsors included ChaiWali, Doggedly Devoted, Amida Care and Harlem Aloft.
Congratulations to all who participated in the Harlem Run One-Miler, looking forward to 2016.
