Police are looking for a teenage suspect who took shirtless selfies on a stolen iPhone and uploaded them to the victim’s iCloud account.
The robbery happened in the vicinity of East 129th Street and Madison Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
The NYPD said the alleged thief asked to use a 48-year-old woman’s cellphone. When she declined, he asked her to dial some phone numbers for her, police said. He then snatched the iPhone from her hands and ran away eastbound on 129th Street, according to the NYPD.
The teen apparently took four pictures of himself on the device, including three which shows him shirtless. The photos were later found by police on the victim’s iCloud account.
Police say the suspect appears to be about 16 years old, around 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and multi-colored shorts.
