A fire erupted early Thursday in an old movie theater on W. 125th St. in Harlem, steps away from the famed Apollo Theater, officials said.
The blaze ignited in the long-shuttered Victory Theater at 233 W. 125th St. just before 7:30 a.m.
Fire officials said the call initially came in as a blaze on the first floor. The fire spread to the third floor before being brought under control just after 8 a.m.
No one was injured in the fire, officials said.
The old structure is being demolished to make way for a 26-story, $164 million building that will house stores and apartments.
