Hello Harlem,
The Male Mentor Recruitment Committee of Harlem CARES invites you to join us for a male mentor recruitment training hosted by our partners, Mentor Partnership of New York. Harlem CARES and its partner organizations are in desperate need of male mentors. If you have expressed interest, in the past, in joining our recruiting volunteer army, then this workshop is for you!
This meeting/workshop will cover some strategies for recruiting mentors with an emphasis on finding appropriate male role models. Participants will learn:
- Who volunteers
- Why men do or do not volunteer
- What kind of mentoring is most attractive to men
- How to use “your story” as a recruitment tool
