Harlem-Based Raji Ayinla Wins Excellence Award

-Raji Ayinla 6 moreDr. Ram Raju, President and CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals, today recognized Harlem -based Raji Ayinla (pictured) and 23 other physicians representing all five boroughs for excellence and their commitment to patient care.

“Doctors’ Day” is an annual celebration honoring physicians from across the health system who go above and beyond to meet the needs of each and every patient.

Physicians from the health system’s hospitals, community health centers, and its MetroPlus Health Plan were recognized for leadership and commitment to providing the highest quality health care to New Yorkers. The physicians honored today also represent NYC Health + Hospitals’ diverse workforce and ability to provide culturally competent care with the knowledge and sensitivity required to care for all without exception.

This year Raji Ayinla, MD, FCCP, Chief of The Division of Pulmonary Medicine and Program Director for the Medicine Residency Program, NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem was one of the NYC Health + Hospitals Doctors’ Day Award winners.
