December 7, 2019

The Harlem-based National Dance Institute (NDI) participated in the opening number of the 2019 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 28th, 2019.

National Dance Institute is a grassroots org that was founded over 40 years ago by the legendary ballet dancer Jacques d’Amboise in the belief that all children should have the opportunity to learn important life skills through music and dance, no matter their background, ability, upbringing. Today, NDI impacts 6,500 public school children per week in New York City alone with over 13 affiliate programs across the US and internationally in Shanghai, China and Beirut, Lebanon.

NDI is shaping the lives of children across NYC through the belief that all children can be motivated towards excellence through the arts.

To date, the children of NDI have been tapped to participate in many life-changing opportunities. Previous opportunities include, but are not limited to, being featured in SIA & Evertown for Gun Safety’s Enough! PSA, being cast for the upcoming West Side Story, performing in prior Thanksgiving Day Parades, among others!
