Happy Harlem Spring Greetings From The Harlem Link Public Charter School

April 19, 2019

Dear Friends and Family,

From all of us at Harlem Link Public Charter School, from our staff, our parents, all our community partners, and especially from our students—thank you for making 2018 such a wonderful year.

We asked our students “What do you love about Harlem Link?”  and they said:

“Kids at Harlem Link can be themselves.”

“People are happy here.”

Looking back on our achievements this year, there are countless reasons to be thankful. We expanded to serve over 400 students, received our 5-year charter renewal, broke records for 5th graders accepted into top middle schools, supported more alumni through college admissions and enrollment, and consolidated our space into one building, making us Harlem’s only charter school to be the main occupant in a district public school building. Our students staged and performed an original musical, “The Blizzard of Oz”. And capping it off was our Giving Tuesday fundraiser, which yielded an amazing $21,000 (and counting!) to support our after-school program.

And this was only possible with your support. Your time, your energy, your attention, and your generosity made the difference. But although 2018 is coming to a close, the school year still has months to go. With multiple alumni events, middle school applications, our upcoming Bio-Bus visit, and rigorous preparation for our state tests, we’re only just getting started providing quality education to our students, ensuring that they graduate as active scholars and citizens. It’s never too late to make a difference and help us welcome a brighter future.

Happy Holidays from your Harlem Link Family. Stay warm this winter. We can’t wait to keep growing with you in 2019.

Thank you,

Dallas Lee Bell, External Affairs Representative for Eugene A. Campbell and ECCR Group
