Harlem’s Teyana Taylor, turns 23 on Tuesday. Taylor, a recording artist and an actress, was born Dec. 10, 1990, in Harlem. In 2012, she officially signed to Kanye West’s GOOD Music label and The Island Def Jam Music Group, after previously being signed to Interscope Records and Pharrell Williams’ Star Trak Entertainment.
Taylor’s debut in the spotlight came about when she was featured on MTV‘s “My Super Sweet 16” in 2007. In late 2007, Taylor appeared in the music video for Jay-Z’s single “Blue Magic.”
Taylor released her commercial debut single “Google Me,” in February 2008. The song was released as the lead single from her debut full-length project, a mix tape titled, “From a Planet Called Harlem.” “Google Me” peaked at number 90 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
