Over 25% of God’s Love’s clients are Bronx residents. And while most are seniors who are too sick to cook or shop for themselves, hundreds of these seniors are U.S. veterans—many struggling with issues of housing and homelessness, substance abuse, and trauma. With God’s Love’s services, sick veterans need not worry about how or from where their next meal will come. They will receive nutritious meals, individually tailored to their dietary restrictions and medical condition, be it HIV, cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s or a variety of other diseases (8 of those are veterans living in Harlem who has been served 1538 meals to them in 2017),.
For Thanksgiving and Christmas, the God’s Love organization celebrates with its holiday fundraiser. Supporters are given the opportunity to sponsor special “holiday meals” by donating $10 a plate.
I live alone, but I’m not lonely. With God’s Love, I really and truly feel your love all the time. If I didn’t have you, I would have no other options.

In light of Veteran’s Day and the coming holiday season, he writes of his gratitude for God’s Love’s meals: “I live alone, but I’m not lonely.
