Summer is wrapping up with a spectacular celebration at the High Line this Thursday night (and only 40 minutes from Harlem).
The event is featuring ¡Arriba!, the park’s longest-running public program.
The vibrant sounds of salsa will resonate through the Chelsea Market Passage as hundreds of dancers gather for an unforgettable evening of music and movement. ¡Arriba! is free and open to all, making it a cherished highlight of the High Line’s community events.
Event Details
- When: August 15, 2024 | 6 – 9 PM
(Media are encouraged to arrive between 6:30 – 8 PM) - Where: Enter the High Line at 14th Street and 10th Avenue, Manhattan
- What to Expect: An exhilarating night of live salsa music, DJ sets, free dance lessons, and performances, with hundreds of amateur dancers taking over the High Line’s Chelsea Market Passage.

DJ Mickey Pérez
A Chicago native with Cuban and Ecuadorian roots, Mickey has been energizing NYC dance floors since 2008. He blends diverse musical styles, creating a unique, diasporic sound that transcends borders.
Los Hacheros
This Brooklyn-based band is celebrated for reviving the Golden Age of Latin music, infusing traditional rhythms like son montuno and guaracha with contemporary flair. Their dynamic performances are sure to captivate the audience.

Nieves Latin Dance Studio
Founded by Wil Nieves in 2012, this studio is a hub for Latin dance enthusiasts, offering a welcoming space for all ages and skill levels to learn and enjoy salsa, bachata, and more.
