Both sides of the upper level of the George Washington Bridge were closed Friday morning because of a possible bridge climber on the New Jersey side, according to the Port Authority.
Police grabbed the man from a tower on the New Jersey side of the bridge in Fort Lee after he made it to the top of the tower, according to the Port Authority.
Morning rush hour traffic was diverted to the lower lanes of the two-level bridge, but there are major delays on both the New Jersey and New York side.
Traffic cameras from CBS2 and elsewhere showed what appeared to be people climbing one of the towers on the New Jersey side of the bridge.
Consider alternate routes and allow for additional travel time.
