A Fairway employee has been charged with the murder of a co-worker and friend who was stabbed to death outside the supermarket’s warehouse in Manhattanville, police said.
Jovanny Paulino (above), 25, was slapped with charges of second-degree murder and felony assault, cops said.
Paulino was in an argument with pal Pedro Miguel Payero Valerio, 22, at the wholesale grocery outlet on 12th Avenue near West 135th Street at around 1:45 p.m. Saturday, cops said.
The fight continued across the street, in front of the Hudson River Cafe, where Paulino pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest, cops said.
Valerio was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
