Ready to mingle, strike a pose or your next deal? Then there is only one place in New City to be during NewYork Fashion Week. Whether you are coming from West Harlem or the East Hamptons, the Fashion Mingle party was everything. If you missed it, then the pictures say it all.
I mean where else would you want to be when the Linked In of Fashion is popping in one of the cities swankiest hotels? The rules are simple; grab your heels, ample business cards, make another circle around your lips in your favorite hue, and throw on a hot number that is worthy of a few neck twist…or fist bumps.
Fashion Mingle is the connect the dots vision of Melissa Shea, the brand Founder and CEO. I had the pleasure of meeting this savvy business dynamo and her CMO Beth Smith. They graciously ensured I was introduced to the industry tastemakers and scored interviews with the leading ladies of Planet Fashion and Awesome TV also headquartered in Paris. Their style influencer Will was a breath of fresh air, and his wife is a make up artist fit to beat the face of the gods. This party had it all, a step and repeat and a Getty photographer. The flash of the cameras glared like the reflection off of a 70’s disco ball. The beautiful people networked to the pulsating beat and delightfully indulged in a goblets of Black Baron Wines courtesy of brand sponsor Monsieur Adrian MonDesir.
Fashion Mingle is where dreams are unzipped and vision struts the cat walk in bold purring colors. I get it, it has been said that fashion is fleeting. However, Fashion Mingle is more than a 7 day venue to get cute for selfies to post on IG and be forgotten the following week. It is a portal for designers to be featured everyday while providing synergistic opportunities for fashion industry professionals. Furthermore, the style driven specialties include: Marketing and PR, Brand Promotion, Website Development and Event Production using their global digital platform.
Fashion Mingle is hot! Or should I say Haute? Boaz David of Human B Fashion Consulting states, ” Fashion Mingle is a community where any fashion professional can find the resources and partners that they need to grow their fashion business.” I say, if you want to create a little magic in your career you should look for me here next season, and of course…Mingle.
