As summer comes to an end, EmblemHealth is proud to have participated in over fifty events supporting New York City children and families starting a new school year.
Some of the events included National Night Out, New York City’s Dominican Heritage events, Ecuadorian Celebration, Breast Feeding Awareness Day, and the annual West Indian Day Parade.
At the back-to-school events, the EmblemHealth Community Engagement and EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care teams provided children and families with thousands of free backpacks, school supplies, care packages, and fun activities to kick off the 2024-25 school year.
“As summer winds down in New York and the new school year begins, EmblemHealth aims to ensure that the entire family stays on top of their healthcare needs and prepares our children for a successful school year,” said Ann Marie Adamson-Serieux, Assistant Vice President of Community Affairs and Engagement. “We encourage everyone in the family to schedule routine check-ups as the new school year begins.”
