‘Ellington at Christmas’ With Savion Glover And Others At The Apollo

The Apollo is officially in its Holiday season and this weekend we are hosting a special presentation of Ellington at Christmas on Saturday, December 7th (two shows at 3pm and 8pm) Ellington celebrates the rich legacy that Duke Ellington had at the Apollo and includes excerpts from the Duke’s Nutcracker Suite and his Sacred Music Concerts. This program will feature tap legend Savion Glover, David Berger’s 16-piece orchestra, actor Keith David as narrator, the Abyssinian Baptist Choir, Jazz vocalist Lizz Wright, opera singer Priscilla Baskerville, and students from the Dance Theatre of Harlem School.
