Dominican Classical Artists Concert “Galant Style”

The Association of Dominican Classical Artists (ADCA) has just announced it’s VIII Concert Series 2017-18. The first concert titled “Galant Style” will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2017, 7:00pm, at the Aaron Davis Hall, Marian Anderson Theater, New York, NY 10031.

The Association of Dominican Classical Artists will be hosting a gala concert featuring special guest violist Amber Archibald, and Dominican clarinetist Jorge García D’ Leon, accompanied by “La Camerata Washington Heights” under the conduction of Darwin Aquino.

The concert will include interpretations of pieces such as Hoffmeister viola concerto, Mozart Clarinet Concerto, and Two Masonic Marches by José Ángel Montero.

La Camerata Washington Heights, a group of musicians formed by the faculty members of  The Washington Heights Community Conservatory of Fine Arts Its repertoire, range from traditional classical composers from Europe and Latin America, to folkloric and popular music from the Latin American heritage. The goal of the group is to bring chamber music to the community of Washington Heights serving as a model for underprivileged youngsters in NYC.

This concert is the first in a series aimed to celebrate the tradition of annual concerts by the Association of Dominican Classical Artists initiated in 1980, with the participation of Dominican and other Latino soloists, with orchestral accompaniment playing classical music, in this occasion Galant Style.

The October 19th performance is FREE and open to the public, but seating is limited. Register HERE!
