District Council 9 To Recruit Glazier Apprentices From Harlem To The Hudson

District Council 9 will be conducting a formal Glazier apprentice recruitment beginning today, October 8^th, 2024.

The recruitment is being conducted at the union’s training center in Long Island City, NY and will cover the New York City, Long Island, and Hudson Valley regions. The recruitment will last from October 8 to October 21, 2024.

The District Council 9 Finishing Trades Institute of New York offers apprentices on-the-job and in-classroom training to ensure every apprentice is prepared to tackle the complex building market. DC 9 apprenticeships offer New Yorkers a pathway to a stable career with family-sustaining wages and benefits.

The recruitment will occur over a ten-day period or until 500 applications are distributed, whichever comes first. Applications will be distributed in person on a first-come, first-served basis, at the District Council 9 Finishing Trades Institute of New York training facility.
