Debert Cook Talks Harlem Golf, Tiger Woods And More On The Danny Tisdale Show (Audio)

Join Debert Cook, Harlem fave and the first black woman to wholly own a Black-focused golf magazine in the U.S.A., during Women’s History Month as she talks Tiger Woods, Harlem golf and more with host Danny Tisdale, on The Danny Tisdale Show.

Debert Cook who was born in West Virginia lives in New York. She launched the African American Golfer’s Digest in March 2003 focusing on the ‘soulful’ world of golf in Manhattan with 80,000 readers. Ms. Cook is the first black woman to wholly own a Black-focused golf magazine in the U.S.A. The magazine has been featured on The Golf Channel, ESPN, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, ESSENCEThe New York Amsterdam News and many others. Ms. Cook has received numerous awards from the African American Chamber of Commerce of Westchester, the President’s Award by the New York Professional’s Club, North American Excellence Award, Outstanding Leadership Away by the Darby Foundation, the Pioneer Award, and many others. In June 2017, she received the honor from the Wake-Robin Golf Club, at its 80th Banquet, the oldest women’s golf club in America (not just the oldest African American golf club).
