A bicyclist was critically hurt after he rode the wrong way on Park Avenue in East Harlem and slammed into a green cab Monday night, police sources said.
The cyclist, whose age and name were not available, was riding against traffic on Park Avenue near E. 115th St. when he collided with the cab at about 9:50 p.m., sources said.
Emergency personnel rushed him to St. Luke’s Hospital in critical condition, police said.
The driver remained on the scene. As police investigated, his cab remained on the southbound side of Park Avenue, its windshield caved in on the front passenger side.
Police are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
