A mother of three was stabbed to death inside her Harlem apartment early Saturday, officials said.
Police discovered 48-year-old Eloise Liz dead on the floor, stabbed multiple times in the chest, in her fourth-floor apartment on W. 153rd St. near Riverside Drive about 3:50 a.m.
Neighbors reported hearing a loud fight. A blood trail, apparently left by the killer, stretched out of the building about half a block to Broadway. No weapon was recovered, and the killer has not been found, police said.
Neighbors and friends said Liz had children — her daughter Leslie, the oldest, and sons Salvador and youngest Michael. She was often seen happily walking her 13-year-old Yorkie, Chockey, around the block.
Cops had been called to Liz’s apartment to quell domestic disputes in the past, most recently in 2014, cops said. She had six arrests on her record, including four for prostitution. Her last arrest, for menacing, was in 2008.
Grieving family members gathered at an apartment on W. 162nd St. A woman who answered the door with tears in her eyes declined to comment.
Liz’s building, just across the street from Trinity Church Cemetery, was rocked by a double murder three months ago.
Isaac Infante, 23, was charged with murder after he allegedly admitted to strangling his former teacher and lover, Felicia Barahona, 36, and their 4-year-old son, Miguel, inside Barahona’s third-floor apartment on Dec. 22.
“Is there a curse or something?” said resident Bernice Sosa, 40.
