Con Edison And National Grid Asks Natural Gas Customers To Help Conserve Supplies

December 24, 2022

Due to frigid temperatures and increased demand on interstate pipelines.

Con Edison and National Grid asks natural gas customers to help conserve supplies by lowering their thermostat to the lowest comfortable setting possible when they are home.

Commercial customers are asked to temporarily reduce natural gas usage until temperatures rise. Con Edison and National Grid are working to secure additional natural gas supplies in order to supplement the already limited reserve.

Customers are reminded that if they suspect a gas leak to leave the area immediately and take others with them.

Call 911 or 1-800-75-CONED (1-800-752-6633) and follow directions from emergency responders.
