A continent, not a country! Africa is the literal “mother” of all modern-day human beings, and through its gifts to the world in culture, history, and science. Come celebrate unique Mother’s Day with your family! Families, join us for our 4th SouSou! Saturday of the season!

BABA & ME STORYTIME – First Floor Gallery

With Baba Atiba. Come hear colorful African storytelling and music treasured on the continent and here across the Atlantic.

WEST AFRICAN DANCE WORKSHOPS – Second Floor Gallery A

Join Hanan Hameen for a fun experience learning various African social dances which are rooted in many popular African Diaspora dance and music forms such as Hip Hop, Salsa, Merengue, and others!

12 PM & 2 PM


FACE PAINTING & ART MAKING STATIONS – Second Floor Gallery B

Have your face painted with ancestral symbols and designs. Be transformed by a beautiful African cultural tradition.
