CB 12: Notice Of Public Hearing On Budget Priorities For Fiscal Year 2020 In Harlem

October 16, 2018

Dear Community Member,

Community Board 12’s General Meeting on Tuesday evening, October 23rd, will include a Public Hearing on our Capital & Expense Budget Priorities. In accordance with the City Charter, all Community Boards are charged with setting budget priorities which inform the City Council’s budget discussions for the coming fiscal year. Although we are only a few months into FY ’19, we are already preparing for FY ’20 discussions.

We encourage you to come and speak out in support of those programs & projects that are most important to you and which you would like to see the Board rank most highly. From parks to transit & transportation infrastructure, to housing to schools and more; from maintenance to sanitation to uniformed services, healthcare, education, cultural programming, land use, business development and more we want to know what your priorities are.

If you are a resident, business owner, taxpayer, community-based organization, healthcare provider, artist, or otherwise engaged in and concerned about how city resources are used in Community District 12 for programs and capital projects, we want to hear from YOU!

The first 25 people will have the opportunity to speak for two (2) minutes.

Our meeting will begin at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, October 23rd, at Yeshiva University’s Balfour Hall (2495 Amsterdam Ave. at W. 184th St.)

Ebenezer Smith

District Manager
