Catholic Charities of New York will be hosting their annual turkey distribution, providing over 800 Thanksgiving meals at the Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy Community Center in Harlem on Monday, November 20, 2017, starting at 9:30am EST.
Individuals and families in need will be welcomed at the Kennedy Center to receive turkeys and all the necessary trimmings for a nourishing holiday meal. Catholic Charites’ turkey distribution will also benefit close to a dozen affiliated agencies.
Upon arriving at the Kennedy Center, families will be greeted by students from local Catholic high schools and Catholic Charities staff and volunteers. Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, Executive Director of Catholic Charities of New York, will be joined by Congressman Adriano Espaillat and Assemblywoman. Inez E. Dickens as they provide help and create hope for hundreds of New Yorkers in need this holiday season.
Also in attendance will be former NY Met and baseball legend Rusty Staub, and retired Key Food owner Mark D’Urso, whose generosity has helped Catholic Charities support the neediest of families throughout New York.
