Taken on January 9th, 1936, what a great photograph of legendary dancer, actor, Bill “Bojangles” Robinson, 1936 Olympics gold medalist Jesse Owens and the Cotton Club dancers.
The men were practicing their dancing skills for their up-coming opening act at the famous “Cotton Club” in Harlem. They were such good friends that Owens gave his Olympic Gold medal to friend Bill “Bojangles” Robinson a few years after the Olympics
Almost three months later Jessie Owens would ruin Hitler’s day, by winning a Gold Medal and three others at the Berlin Games in Germany (source).
