Beverly Hills: Harlem’s Teyana Taylor’s Prayer As Culture Creators Brunch Serves More Than Mimosas

Teyana Taylor was honored as Innovator of the Year at the 8th Annual Culture Creators Innovators & Leaders Awards Brunch held on June 28, 2024, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills

The exclusive event, hosted by journalist Gia Peppers, brought together industry icons and thought leaders to celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to Black culture across various sectors.

Taylor’s remarkable career was highlighted in a celebratory video montage, showcasing her journey from choreographing for Beyoncé at 16 to her current status as a multihyphenate star.

Her achievements include eight gold-certified singles, a platinum certification for “Gonna Love Me,” and success in music video direction, acting, and creative direction for various artists.


During her acceptance speech, Taylor delivered an emotional prayer, expressing gratitude for her journey and acknowledging the support of her family and team.

Her 8-year-old daughter Junie joined her on stage, adding a heartwarming moment to the ceremony.
