Andrew McCarthy spent his youth playing teens in Brat Pack movies such as “Pretty in Pink.” Now the 54-year-old is writing about them.
His first novel, “Just Fly Away,” was just released. The actor, director and writer talks about living up:
… in Harlem, and I love the northern end of the Park, like the North Meadow and the [Conservatory] Garden. It’s just so quiet up there. Afterward, I’ll take the kids to Lexington Street Candy Shop, which is this old-fashioned hamburger joint that has great milkshakes.
