When And How To Watch Game 4, Yankees Vs. Indians

October 9, 2017

Patch reports that the New York Yankees will try to win a second straight home elimination game Monday night against the Cleveland Indians. The Yankees defeated the Indians in a 1-0 nail-biter Sunday night thanks to a masterful start from Masahiro Tanaka and a solo home run from first baseman Greg Bird. First pitch on Monday night is set for 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

The Yankees will try to figure out Indians starter Trevor Bauer — who shut out the Yankees through six-and-two-thirds innings in game one of the American League Division Series. Bauer will be pitching on short rest in order to start game four.

The Yankees will send Luis Severino to the mound in what will be the most important start of the 23-year-old’s young career. Severino hopes to bounce back from a disastrous performance against the Minnesota Twins in the Wild Card game. Severino was the Yankee’s best pitcher all regular season and the team will need a strong performance from the young ace to keep their World Series dreams alive.

Whether you’re heading to the Bronx or watching from home, here’s everything you need to know about game four of the American League Division Series.

How to watch the game:

If you’re not going to witness the action live in the Bronx there are still plenty of ways to catch the game. The ALDS will be broadcast nationwide on FS1. If you’re cable subscription doesn’t include FS1 you can probably catch the game on any bar in New York City that has a television.

If you prefer to stream the game live on a device such as a laptop, smartphone or tablet you can find the game at Fox Sports Go.

Where you can buy tickets:

The Yankee faithful always turn out for October baseball in the Bronx, so snagging playoff tickets from the official team website may prove difficult. The fact that Monday night’s matchup could be the Yankee’s last game of the series means it will probably be a sellout.

Resellers and brokers will likely be flooding sites like Stubhub and Seatgeek with tickets.

If all else fails, you can always try buying a ticket from a scalper in front of the stadium before the game. But watch out, scammers will likely be out in full force for the playoffs.

Getting to Yankee Stadium and parking:

The easiest way that Harlemites can get to Yankee Stadium is by taking the subway. The 4/B/D trains all run directly to the stadium.

If you opt to drive to the stadium both traffic and parking will be a hassle. Drivers should take the Major Deegan Expressway (Interstate 87) to the stadium. If you’re heading north on I-87 take exit 3 for the stadium and if you’re heading south take exit 6.

The Yankees contract their parking through a company called Quik Park, which operates the lots near the stadium. All rates are set by company, and prepaid individual-game parking must be purchased from Quik Park, according to the Yankees’ website.
