Yimby News reports that the Savanna Fund has filed applications for a 32-story, 170-unit residential tower at 525 West 122nd Street, a.k.a 3080 Broadway, located in Morningside Heights. The 315,674-square-foot tower would rise 528 feet in height at the site of the Jewish Theological Seminary’s three-story eastern wing.
The new building, called Vandewater, will feature condominiums ranging from one- to four-bedrooms, Curbed NY reported. The apartments will be located across the second through 32nd floors and should average 1,500 square feet apiece. INC Architecture & Design will be responsible for the exterior and interior designs. SLCE Architects is the executive architect.
As part of the project, the Jewish Theological Seminary will renovate and expand its existing complex. A performing arts space will be built, as well as a new library and residence hall. Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects will design the renovations and expansion of the seminary.
A construction timeline has not been revealed.
