Jonathan Suero, 24, was convicted earlier this year of shooting Jorge Briu in the neck and Arnold Cobo in the head as the pair sat in a car on West 136th Street and Riverside Drive back in June of 2014.

Briu, 32, died after six months on life support. Cobo survived despite horrific injuries.

Prosecutors said Suero targeted Cobo over an earlier drug deal, and shot and killed Briu because he was in the car with him.

They asked Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan to sentence him to 50 years to life, but Merchan cut Suero a tiny break and sentenced him to 46 to life instead sources said.
