Harlem And Uptown Students Travel To See The World

May 19, 2016

image00115 ninth and tenth graders at Success Academy High School of the Liberal Arts, mostly from Harlem and the Bronx, are making their way across France and Spain on an 8-day educational experience. The scholars, selected based on academic achievement and progress, are making stops at historical and cultural sites in Paris, Nimes, and Barcelona. The trip is part of Success Academy’s robust field studies program connecting classroom curricula to real world experiences — especially for kids who wouldn’t otherwise have access to these opportunities — and infusing scholars’ academic years with an educational and cultural experience that they may not have otherwise been able to access.
