Batoto Yetu celebrated their 25th year at MIST Harlem on Thursday, November 5th, 2015. Batoto Yetu engages urban youth in African dance, music, and folklore within a caring community of talented artists and volunteers.
The evening was filled with parents, kids and well wishers for this celebration that showed it is dedicated to fostering self-awareness, self-esteem, and the creative and social development of children through dance, Batoto Yetu introduces African culture through their Africa in the School Residency, their Pre-Professional Training Program, and public performances.
