On Monday, December 2nd, 2024, St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children raised $1.4 million to support New York’s most critically ill and injured children at their annual Tribute Dinner.
The funds raised at this year’s event will help St. Mary’s to continue to provide the highest quality of care to New York’s most critically ill and injured children, through life-changing programs and services.
This year’s event was held at Gotham Hall in Midtown Manhattan, where guests honored Joseph Mizzi, President and Chief Operating Officer of Sciame Construction. Joseph serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Bronx Museum of the Arts, Vice-Chair and Treasurer of the Salvadori Center, a member of the New York Building Congress Board and Treasurer of the Architectural League of New York. In 2012, he co-founded the 14+ Foundation, which builds and operates schools in rural Zambia, providing cost-free education to over 500 students annually.
“… dedication to supporting children with special needs …”
Other attendees included top executives from the construction, financial services, and real estate industries, along with other business leaders and philanthropists who have shown dedication to supporting children with special needs and advancing pediatric healthcare.
“Our annual tribute dinner is a powerful reminder of the incredible community that stands behind St. Mary’s and their dedication to our mission of providing the best possible care to New York’s most vulnerable children,” said Dr. Edwin Simpser, President and CEO of St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children. “This year’s dinner celebrated hope, resilience, and the profound impact of our community’s generosity. Thank you to everyone who joined us and for your continued support of St. Mary’s.”
