Arizona: Unstoppable Special Screening With Jerome, Cheadle And Robles And More

On Thursday, November 22, 2024, Amazon MGM Studios hosted a Special Screening of Unstoppable at Arizona State University, the alma mater of Anthony Robles.

In 2011, Robles won the NCAA individual wrestling national championship in the 125-pound weight class, despite being born with only one leg. 

Attendees included the PG rated Unstoppable stars Jharrel Jerome and Don Cheadle, and Producer Anthony Robles.

Special guests included Judy Robles, Coach Shawn Charles (portrayed by Don Cheadle), Coach Shawn Williams (portrayed by Michael Peña), Coach Zeke Jones (current ASU wrestling coach) and Coach Brian Stith, an ASU wrestling alum and former ASU assistant coach who helped train Jharrel Jerome during film production and now coaches high school wrestling with Anthony. 

“… defy the odds and pursue his dreams.”

Unstoppable is the inspiring true story of Anthony Robles (Jharrel Jerome) who was born with one leg but whose indomitable spirit and unbreakable resolve empowered him to defy the odds and pursue his dreams.

With the unwavering love and support of his devoted mother Judy (Harlem fave Jennifer Lopez) and the encouragement of his coaches, Anthony fights through adversity to earn a spot on the Arizona State Wrestling team.


But it will demand everything he has, physically and mentally, to achieve his ultimate quest to become an NCAA Champion.

The movie is produced by Ben Affleck, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Anthony Robles, Andrew Fraser, P.G.A., Gary Lewis, David Crockett, P.G.A
