Designed by a collaborative design team of MUD Workshop, Habitat Workshop, and Sighte Studio, SAIL is a new installation at Lou Gehrig Plaza in Bronx, New York.
The Plaza is presented by 161st Street Business Improvement District (BID). SAIL resembles the energetic, upward motion of the wind looking onto the vista of the Harlem River, capturing the spirit of the Bronx.
Developed together with the residents, merchants, and community partners, the installation uses shade, seating, and color, inviting visitors to stay and interact.
