Kick off the run on Thursday, August 15, 2024, with R&B artist serpent with feet’s theatrical dance project “Heart of Brick,” DJ Boy Cordero, and a performance by The Missing Element & The Beatbox House in partnership with Works & Process.

On Friday, August 16, celebrate 100 years of the late great jazz drummer Max Roach in partnership with Jazzmobile with performances by the group he founded, M’Boom, featuring Warren Smith and Bobby Sanabria, and The Kojo Melché Roney Experience.

The show’s don’t stop there! On Saturday, August 17, party it up with Soapbox Presents: Life of the Party, showcasing some of NYC’s most talented artists.
Close out the week on Sunday, August 18, with the 40th anniversary of Ralph McDaniels’ Video Music Box featuring hip-hop artists M.O.P, G. Dep, Nice N Smooth, and more.
Come back the following weekend for the annual FREE Charlie Parker Jazz Festival in Marcus Garvey Park on August 23 & 24 and Tompkins Square Park in the East Village on August 25, celebrating the life and music of the eponymous saxophonist with jazz legends and rising stars.
