In the wake of allegations of sexual assault from three different women, various entities are distancing themselves from Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Capital Prep Harlem, a charter school founded by Combs in 2016, is the latest organization to sever ties with the music mogul.
Dr. Steve Perry, the founder of Capital Preparatory Schools, released a statement addressing the decision.
“After a thorough evaluation, we have decided to terminate the partnership between Capital Preparatory Schools and Sean Combs,” the statement conveyed. “While this decision was made with careful consideration, we strongly believe it is in the best interest of our organization’s well-being and future.”
Capital Prep Harlem, a public, tuition-free charter school offering a rigorous college preparatory education with a foundation in social justice for grades 6-12, had received support from Diddy since its launch.
However, the school opted to cut ties with the Bad Boy Records founder shortly after his announcement of a temporary step-down from the chairman position at Revolt.
